Moving Still brings together eight Asian-based artists - Aiman, Mr.B, Brendan Fitzpatrick, ClogTwo, Glen Goei, Jolene Lai, Kim Xu, and Sheryo and explores their interpretation of a dialogue or quote from a scene of a film in the medium in which they work on. The exhibition, presented by Singapore-based private art gallery and shop, Vue Privée, aims to challenge the artists to create a new presentation of that particular motion picture.
These motion pictures include scenes in Napoleon Dynamite, a three part Indie film by Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai, and a video recording by the obscure oprea singer Klaus Nomi.
Join in the Moving Still Opening Party on 23 June 2011, Thursday, 18:30 - 21:00 at Vue Privée (20 Cairnhill Road, Singapore 229652) to view these artworks produced on various media, including oil on canvas, mixed media on watercolor paper, digital illustration and photography.
Moving Still runs up till 04 September 2011.
