If you happened to walk past the former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings recently, you might have noticed the larger-than-life paintings on the hoarding surrounding the site.

The future home for visual arts at the former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings.
The hoarding surrounding the buildings has been artistically transformed into a ‘gallery wall’ for six selected paintings by Singapore’s early artists – Chen Wen Hsi, Lim Cheng Hoe, Chen Chong Swee, Liu Kang, Georgette Chen and Cheong Soo Pieng.

A closer look at the larger-than-life artworks.
If you peer more closely, you will see that there are captions that go with each painting: Explore with Art; Play with Art; Learn with Art; Dine with Art; Live with Art and Be with Art. These give a flavour of what future visitors can do at the gallery when it opens its doors in 2015 – enjoy enriching art exhibitions, participate in fun educational programmes, indulge in a range of food and beverage outlets, or shop at specialist retail outlets.
The hoarding visuals will be changed regularly as construction progresses. Watch this space!
