To appreciate Art, you start by learning about early art periods. I personally find it silly when one mistakes a good memory for a cultured soul, but the truth is, you do need to go back in time, to truly appreciate the evolution of Art. Having said that, I think anyone who pay $1.5 million for a splat of red paint must really suffer from an inferiority complex.
For a start, let’s talk about the Renaissance period in 60 seconds. More to come in the next few weeks!

What:
The biggest boom to hit art history. Far bigger than Facebook ruling your life. Europe experienced a cultural boom and great value was placed on art. As a result, a large number of artists all appeared at once, especially in Italy.
As a cultural movement, it encompassed a resurgence of learning based on classical sources, the development of linear perspective in painting, and gradual but widespread educational reform.
The intellectual transformation has caused the Renaissance to be viewed as a bridge between the Middle Ages and the Modern era.
